ILAHA OMAR

Ilaha Eli Omar heads COWF's outreach in Afghanistan. She is an Afghan-American entrepreneur who built a successful technical staffing company which she sold in 2018. Ilaha heads COWF's programming initiatives with our partners in Afghanistan. Currently, ilaha is a partner at imagine wireless, a technology consulting firm where she focuses on addressing digital equity. Ilaha serves on the board of Mahtabe, where she provides sustainable solutions to enable inclusion and education for the most underserved people in Kenya; is the country director of enabled children initiative, where she is spearheading Afghanistan’s first self-sustaining community center serving orphans/abandoned children, and adults living with disabilities; and mentors afghan women entrepreneurs through project Artemis, an initiative led by Goldman Sachs 10,000 women and thunderbird for good. Ilaha regularly escorts Afghan children amputees for Prosthetic treatment to the us and participates in medical aid trips to Haiti via Children of War Foundation. Ilaha is a member of the US-Afghan women’s council and resides in San Francisco.
