Courageous Hashim From Iraq Treated For Head Injuries At Children's Hospital Los Angeles
Hashim, A 10-year-old Boy From Iraq Was On His Way Home From A Family Gathering When He Suffered Severe Head And Brain Injuries From An Improvised Explosive Device. Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Children Of War Foundation And Mending Kids International Worked Together To Bring Hashim To Chla For Care. Chla’s Division Of Plastic Surgery And Neurosurgery Provided Hashim With The Surgeries He Needed To Prevent Infection From Spreading In His Brain And To Prepare Him To Live A Healthy Life Back In His Home Country.
